I have been looking forward to this application for a while now. And, I finally received my Evernote beta invite. Unfortunately, I can't get the disk image to mount. It says invalid disk image:: no mountable file systems found. Not sure what's going on there. I'm running Leopard. Maybe it's my antiquated PowerPC processor.

I've been playing around with it for a couple hours today and love it for what it is at this point. I absolutely love the idea of being able to access and create notes through my MBP or iPhone and then sync them! Since this is a beta, I expect most of the issues I see now, to be resolved in the final release.

With that said, there are a couple small features that would make all the difference to me. To make this really useful for the way I work, I would need the client software on my Mac to allow me to sort into specific notebooks as I import items into it. I think Yojimbo's tab on the side of the screen is the best example of how to accomplish this. This is a huge organization and efficiency thing for me that makes life much more simple.

Also in the organization and efficiency category... I'd really like to see them develop that To Do attribute into a simple To Do tracker like Cultured Code's Things. If they can bring me those two features, and back it up with good service, I'll pay whatever they ask

They say on one video that the recognition is done on the server. Better not put something too sensitive I guess.

It does look very interesting, and it has some very nice features. Now could it find a spot between VoodooPad and EagleFiler here, I'm not sure yet.

I'm trying it, and it does work great. And I received an invitation for the beta fairly fast, so they probably have not run out of them yet.

I look forward to reading your article for the interview and for your experience with the app. I hope he told you a bit about how they do the reading and indexing of text in photos!

I think Phil Libin must be doing nothing but interviewing these days. I talked to him today for Tagamac, and will have an article focusing specifically on the Mac client soon.
